Ask yourself:
Do I have a desire to help people?
Am I a compassionate and caring person?
Am I flexible enough to accept other views without being judgmental?
Am I independent enough to work on my own and work well as a team member?
Can I commit to 1-4 hours a week for a year?
Am I willing to attend 12-16 hours of training?
Am I willing to attend support and continuing education meetings when offered?
If you answered "yes" to these questions, you may be a hospice volunteer candidate.
If you answered "no" to any of these questions, you may still be a candidate to help in the office, make phone calls, or help at health fairs.
